Heat the sides of the pan with a blow dryer.
Place the cheesecake on top of a can.
Slide the side off.
Using a straight, metal frosting spatula, loosen the bottom by slipping the spatula between the cake and the bottom of the pan.
Using two pancake turners, lift the cheesecake onto a serving plate.
Loosening the bottom of the cheesecake from the pan will not work on a springform pan because of the lip. However, the cheesecake should be firm enough to lift off.
